I'm sure you all already know these, but still:
+ + + Game Play + + +
+ Set MOUSE SMOOTHING to nearly ZERO. This way you can condition your moves.
+ Set Keyboard Smoothing to zero also, as it's just dumb. Stay in control.
+ Lower your graphics settings to where you can't see the refresh rate.
+ Disable all shader FX. They do nothing but slow you down (water one is cool).
+ Put your effects on low, to increase visibility through smoke.
+ Always check your "Use Hit Indicator" as it helps you aim.
+ + + Killing + + +
+ To score a headshot, aim at the tip, or right above the head.
+ Bullets do more damage to heart than head.
+ Bullets fall over long distances.
+ NEVER shoot and move at the same time. Your accuracy falls dramatically.
+ How to properly shoot behind a corder:
- Come to the corner
- Make a few steps back
- Crouch down
- Hit Q or E to just stick your head out
+ + + Surviving + + +
+ Shoot from behind boxes and behind corners.
+ Reloading, Proning and Climbing Ladders all make sounds, so stay stealthy.
+ If a nade didn't kill you, you still made hurting sound, so your opponent
knows you're there an they know you're hurt. Get the hell out of there.
+ + + Being Lucky + + +
+ When someone else is shooting, always shoot when turning corners.
+ Turn corner right after shooting stops (catch them at reload)
+ Run when someone else is shooting, it masks the sound of your run.
+ Right-click to drop bomb before corners to distract your opponent, then
rush in with a jump and fire at will.
+ Do burst-mode (3 bullets at a time) with a spray gun to try to get someone
a long distance away (aug and g36 are best for this).
+ If you hear steps behind a wall, throw a nade on one side of the wall, and
run to the other exit.
+ In the very beginning, shoot at the exit from the spawn. You will get some
bars off and might even score a headshot.
